Where is Aurélie Bidermann jewelry made?

All Aurélie Bidermann jewelry is designed in France and made entirely by hand in our workshops using the very finest and meticulously selected materials, gemstones and semi-precious stones.

Our jewelry is guaranteed to be nickel-free and has been designed to minimise any risk of an allergic reaction.

What is the manufacturing process for your organic jewelry line?

The result of exceptional French artisanry, the jewelry in our Organic collection has been entirely hand-made using real organic materials such as swan feathers, four-leaf clovers and Ginkgo leaves carefully selected on the basis proportion perfection and finesse. They are then dipped in an 18-carat gold or silver bath before being crafted into necklaces or earrings. Each piece is unique.

What does ‘18-carat gold plated’ actually mean?

This means that jewelry has been dipped three times in an 18-carat gold bath. Each piece is therefore covered in several layers of 18-carat gold. Carat is the measurement used to determine the purity of precious metals like gold. The description « 18-carat » guarantees exceptional purity.

How can you tell if an item of Aurélie Bidermann jewelry is the real deal?

All Aurélie Bidermann jewelry features the AB logo (except for our Charms collection, Scarab and Organic lines and the Mini-Charms Ring collection because of their thinness nature.

In addition, sterling silver jewelry features a ‘head of Minerva’ or a 925 hall stamp and 18-carat gold plated jewelry has an ‘eagle’s head’ hall stamp. Each piece in the fine jewelry line is sold with a certificate of authenticity and 18-carat jewelry has documentation specifying the number of carats and the weight of the gold in the item.

What is vermeil?

Vermeil (or silver-gilt) is sterling silver that has been dipped three times in an 18-carat gold bath.

How do I determine my ring size?

Our rings are available in sizes 48 to 58 depending on the model. We recommend that you download our Aurélie Bidermann ring size chart to double-check your ring size before ordering.

Do bracelets come in different sizes?

Our bangles, bracelets and cuffs are one size only. They have been specifically designed to be one-size-fits-all.

Do necklaces and chain necklaces come in different lengths?

Our necklaces and chain necklaces come in one size only. The length and width of the necklaces differ depending on the style of the line. Please check product descriptions on the product pages for sizing details.

Can Fine Jewelry be bought online via your e-shop?

You can buy any item from the whole fine jewelry line in our e-shop. However some pieces are made on request due to their unique characteristics. The latter have a longer delivery window of around four weeks. The mention ‘on request’ is indicated on the product description when the item is concerned.

Please note that rings can be made on request in the size of your choice.

Can I include a personal message for my giftee?

When you are confirming your order, you will have the option of including a 12-line hand-writing card to accompany your gift or you can ask for a blank card to write by yourself your own personal message.

Please specify if you do not want your invoice to be included in your parcel.

 

Can I have my order gift-wrapped?

All Aurélie Bidermann jewelry is beautifully gift-wrapped. The item is placed in a zipped pouch in House colours which is then inserted in a gift box to protect it from transit damage.

What are the delivery costs and shipping times?

Costs and shipping times usually depend on the delivery address.

Shipping is free for orders over 200 € for delivery in metropolitan France and over 500 € (or $500) for delivery abroad. 

If your order is placed Monday to Friday it should normally be processed and despatched within 24 hours unless indicated otherwise by us. You will receive an email to confirm processing and despatch.

Please note that our headoffice will be exceptionnaly closed on 06/26/17. Orders placed betwenn 06/23/17 and 06/26/17 will be dealt from 06/27/17. We apologize for the inconvenience.

What is your delivery zone for orders via your e-shop?

All items ordered via our e-shop are delivered worlwide using Fedex. Please find the list of countries here.

 

Can I choose the in-store pickup option ?

We offer a free in-store pickup service available in Aurélie Bidermann Paris Boutique – 55 bis rue des Saint-Pères. Your package will be delivered in the Boutique the day after the purchase for orders placed from Monday to Friday before 5PM – Paris local time. You will be notified by e-mail once your order is available for pick up at the Boutique.

You have 15 working days to pick up your order at the Boutique. A proof of identity and the invoice received by e-mail will be requested.

A third-party could also collect on the recipient’s behalf by providing a proof of identity of this person and the invoice as well.

What happens if my order is urgent?

Aurélie Bidermann recommends that you choose one of our express delivery options:

- Paris intra-muros: Courier service or in-store pickup service in Aurélie Bidermann Paris Boutique for same day delivery Monday-Friday as long as your order is placed before 3pm.

- Rest of France: Express Fedex delivery « Priority overnight » service for next day delivery on orders placed prior to 3pm.

- International: Express Fedex delivery « International Priority » service for next day delivery for orders placed prior to 3pm.

Please tell us if your order is urgent by contacting us at customerservice@aureliebidermann.com or by calling 01 40 41 67 15 so that we can do our very best to ensure that your order gets to its destination in time.

 

How can I track my order?

If you want to track the progress of your order log on to your account on our website and click on Order history and details to check your order's status:

- Preparation in progress: Order has been confirmed and is being prepared for despatch

- Shipped: Order has been despatched and can now be tracked on the shipper’s website using your order package number

Colissimo and Fedex deliveries: you will be sent an email or text once your order has been despatched along with a tracking number.

What should I do if my jewelry is damaged or broken?

In the first instance we recommend that you contact the shop where you bought the item. If you bought online via our e-shop please email us at customerservice@aureliebidermann.com or call 01 40 41 67 15.

We provide a free repairs service for one year from the date of purchase (till receipt required). This service is free as long as the damage is the result of normal wear and tear and/or because there is a manufacturing fault.

Once this guarantee period has expired our after-sales team offers a paying repairs service where possible. You will be provided with a quote for the anticipated repairs which will need your confirmation prior to any repairs being undertaken by us.

How do I contact the after-sales service team?

Your item will be appraised by our workshop experts before notification of the required time frame & rates for repairs.

If you did not buy your item from our e-shop please contact the shop where you made your purchase directly.

 

How long do I have to return or exchange my item of jewelry?

You are legally entitled to a cooling off period of 14 days starting from the day you received your goods by which time you will need to have informed us your decision. Please notify us of this request by emailing customerservice@aureliebidermann.com.

The item must not have been worn, have any signs of wear and tear or have been altered in any way. Nor must it have been washed or show signs of damage. It must be returned in its original packaging.

In accordance with article L121-21-8 of the French Consumer Code, items made to measure (Special Orders) can not be exchanged or refunded.

What is procedure for refunds or credit notes?

- a credit note valid for 6 months on our website www.aureliebidermann.com

If you opt for a credit note the whole amount of your purchase plus shipping costs will be refunded to you.

- a refund credited directly to your bank account or PayPal account depending on your original method of payment. The refund amount will amount to the cost of the returned product without penalties except for the cost of shipping and returns which shall be borne by you.

An email will be sent to you confirming that your purchase has been refunded.

Is it safe to shop on the Aurélie Bidermann website?

Secure online transactions are ensured using existing protocols. Details of card numbers used during the payment process are not kept on the www.aureliebidermann.com website but on the secure site operated by our bank.

Can I personalise my purchase?

Some Aurélie Bidermann jewelry can be personalized by engraving a name, sentence, date or drawing (space and technical constraints permitting). We invite you to have a look at this document to discover the different suggested fonts and iconic symbols. We can also consider another font or another symbol upon request. After determining the feasibility of your customized engraving, a sketch would be provided to validate it.

Personalized engraving is available upon request on the following jewelry:

- Gold/silver/vermeil engraved bangle (3 different sizes)

- Gold/silver engraved ring

The following jewelry is already engraved but you can add a personal engraving – price upon request:

- Bell necklace: on side (first name, name or date – drawing not possible)

- Gold/silver medallions in 3 sizes: on blank side

A personalized engraving is made upon request within 4 weeks.

What are the conditions of the Mother's Day offer ?

On the occasion of Mother's day, an 18K yellow gold charm (commercial value: 160 € or $ 175) will be exceptionally offered for every purchase over 500 €, or $ 500, (excluding shipping fees) on aureliebidermann.com with the promotion code SURPRISE. For a return (of the whole or just a part of the order), the gold charm has to be sent back as well if the value of the item(s) that is (are) kept is lower than 500 €, or $ 500.
